Well, is there a bug ? If MgRancey has issued the invite, and both you and me joined, we should be 3 already. I only see myself and Donahue (MgRancey) in the party at the moment.

Hey, guys, I made a Vanguard because it seemed to be what was missing from the party, but currently I don't seem to be able to get into melee due to faster-moving characters and ones with reach weapons blocking the way! There's not much point in having a Vanguard at the back! ;) Shall I make a True Bow instead?

You are front and center, right now most of us only have options to attack, shortly I will also need to use actions on healing and buffing rather than just attacking, so unless you aren't enjoying playing a Vanguard I'd give it a bit. If you want to swap with Sparrow Hawk, that might be more useful, having the sneaky guy in the middle and us tough melee types on the end. Also you should get charge when we hit level 3 as well.

Just do something you enjoy, so you can go ahead and swap.

I'm confident whatever you play we'll be good enough for whatever challenge arises.

Vanguard is my last favourite class. Even for a tank type class they don't do a lot
