Description A Fantasy Grounds module containing NPC statblocks from Paizo's NPC Codex.

Downloads
47554

Install: Unzip the downloaded file, then place the three mod files in the {FG_DATA}\module folder.

Updates
6/12/2021 - Fixed XML structure so that the contents of these modules appear as NPC records and don't complain when you directly drag them into an encounter. Removed versioning.
1/22/2015 v1.1 Fixed numerous NPCs with missing ability scores, BAB, etc.
8/27/2014 v1.0 Split into three .mod files (Core Classes, Prestige Classes, and NPC Classes), all classes now complete.
8/21/2014 v0.3 Ranger, Rogue, Sorceror, Wizard (all Core Classes completed)
8/20/2014 v0.2 Fighter, Monk, Paladin
8/19/2014 v0.1 Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid

Now that this is complete, can I get this stickied on main modules page please?

I hesitate to clutter your thread with my question, but I don't know a better place to put it.

I was looking to contribute in some way, and I thought that creating a module with the contents of the NPC Gallery (https://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/mastery/npcGallery.html)(from the SRD) would be good... However, I'm confused by the difference, or relationship, between this NPC Gallery, and the NPC Codex referenced above (apart from quantity and organization)... Can you clarify this for me, before I go off on this tangent?

Thanks.

The NPC Gallery is from the Game Mastery Guide PF book and the NPC Codex is from the NPC Codex PF book - both available in the Paizo PRD. These are 2 different lists of NPCs. The Gamesmastery Guide NPCs have already been created in FG format - they are available in the usual module download thread.

- Battle Mage
- Arisen Sorcerer
- Demon-Blooded Sorcerer
- Fiery Dragonkin
- Fey Enchantress
- Bramble Sorcerer
- Supreme Hunter
- Fiendslayer
- Furious Crusader
- Saintly Knight
- Vigilant Bodyguard
- Pirate King
- Griffon Rider
- Halfling Slinger
- Fastidious Sharpshooter
- Wild Lancer
- Gambler
- Cruel Instructor
- Notorious Foil
- Shoreline Cleric
- Profane General
- Water Merchant

... do not have some stats (Ex. Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, BAB... etc).

Can you fix it?

Thank you for your great work!!

ah, this is the one

any chance this parser could be ran again, and more content from d20pfsrd could be pulled?

I only noticed that quite a few from the site aren't included...

TIA :D

This module specifically contains creatures from the Paizo NPC Codex product. It is not a dump of all creatures from d20pfsrd.

This is the product it’s based on: https://paizo.com/products/btpy8v3a?Pathfinder-Roleplaying-Game-NPC-Codex

In it's current state, the NPCs are largely unable to be used in an encounter unless you drag directly into the CT. The only area these show up in is the library as a reference. Duplicating the NPC sheets, dragging the NPC sheet "info blip" into the NPC menu or dragging the info blip to add them to an encounter all give the message, "Only Records from Campaign Record Lists can be added to encounters".

Thought I'd mention here that the <ruleset> tag for all 3 of these is 3.5E rather than PFRPG, which in FG Classic is no big deal, but in my FG Unity install, none of these show up in my PF1E module window.

Working on fixing this right now. Should have new modules available in a few hours.

Wanted to use the module today and got a lot of error messages.
But I am very sure that it is because of the interaction with the mods here from the forum "Upgrade NPC Actions", "PFRPG - Spellbook Extended" and "Feature: Spell Record Actions".
Where should I post it?
Here are some of the errors

The issue is more than likely caused by one of the extensions being used.

First step is to start a brand new campaign with no extensions and see if you get the error.

Assuming you don't get the error, then make sure that you have the most up-to-date versions of all of the extensions you're using and check that they are compatible.

If you still get the error after updating your extensions and only loading those that are compatible, disable each extension one-by-one - check if the error exists each time you disable an extension, when the error doesn't occur then the issue will be related to the last extension you disabled.

Here are some of the errorsThere is only one error there:

[4/15/2022 6:21:38 PM] [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "campaign/scripts/spell.lua"]:54: attempt to call global 'getDatabaseNode' (a nil value)
The rest is just a series debug messages from some extension.

Are you using the latest version of Upgrade NPC Actions?
That looks like an error that it used to cause early last year.
Remove it (and any other of my extensions that you use) from the extensions folder.
Then add them from here: https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/crafter/12/view-profile
Then update via the FG launcher (even if it isn't red).

If it doesn't, try without Spell Record Actions.
