In-Character Whisper

I'm trying to figure out how, as GM, to send a whisper to a player that uses an ID other than GM. If I use /id to create a new id, and then send a whisper, it seems like it still comes through on the player's end as "[w] GM: whatever" rather than as the id. Is this just something FG can't do right now, or is there a way I'm unaware of?

The current whisper system can only whisper between GM and characters.
