Well, they've done it the last 2 seasons and a post in the comments eludes to possibly doing so in the future too...

Do you know if you get anything extra for playing through the new quests? Such as if you do 3 of them you get a boon or something?

I only know what they say in the the blog "Play them in any order—one can even play the finale quest early—and earn a Chronicle sheet with rewards that scale based on the number of adventures you played."
