View Full Version : Full Character Sheet for some NPCs

I've started playing around with FG with my friends since it went on sale on steam in the current summer sale, and we were wondering if there was any way to have a fully statted npc sheet or if there is a way to hide characters from being available to party members.

For recurring antagonists it makes sense to us sometimes to advance them just like a regular PC.

We're using the 3.5 version that we have started adding modifications to.

Thanks for any help!

The GM can "hide" PCs from the players by joining their own game (start a second instance of FG on the same PC as the GM instance and "Join Game" with a host address of localhost), use a player name that the other players won't use and then select the PCs that you want to hide. These will then be owned by that player name and so when the other players join they won't see those PCs in the character selection screen.

You can do a lot with the NPC sheet though - put the majority of the info you need to play them.

Thanks for the prompt response Trenloe! Your other posts on the forum have been helping us a lot so far.

We'll explore both options.

Just on a side note (and because I'm an incorrigible opportunist) I'll take this opportunity to do another one of my Shameless Plugs(TM) and encourage you and your group, if you haven't done so already, to watch the fabulous and excellent Tutorial Videos produce by this (not so) humble poster. They're available on the Wiki or from the links in my sig.

I bring them up only because you said you're a recent convert to FG and so I thought they might help - and because I'm an incorrigible opportunist. :p

Cheers
