Hi, kinda new to this whole thing, and was wondering if it's possible for the DM/Host to edit characters.. I've been trying, and I can create blank items and such, but I can't edit them myself. Typing just doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

Sure, the DM has full control. Which ruleset? Any extensions?

I think it's d20_jpg? A friend helped me set it up. I don't think there are any extensions.

I'm right in assuming the host is also the DM, right?

Yes, the DM is the host.

Why, in particular, are you using the d20_JPG ruleset? That is an old ruleset, the 3.5E ruleset is a more recent version of d20_JPG - I'd recommend you use 3.5E.

Ah, okay. I'll try updating it. Like I said, my friend set it up for me. D: He recommended that set.
