I am tinkering a little bit with the 4E ruleset to change it into 13th Age for a game I am runnig. I do not know how far I can afford to go, but before I continue is thare anyone else working on such a project?

It's a bit too early to make it public. Is there any SVN/CVS repository where work copies can be uploaded, in any case?

I'm interested that you're starting with the 4E ruleset. I thought that 13th Age was a d20 game, and thus the 3.5E ruleset would be the obvious starting point...?

It's not really a d20 game in that sense and bears many similarities to 4E.

13th Age uses the D20 OGL for legal reasons, but in fact it is a simplification of 4E. It is way, way closer to 4E than to any 3.x derived game.
