**Disclaimer - Please keep in mind that our older legacy products are no longer supported with the new release. A new ruleset for Castles & Crusades was released on FG Forge on Jan 20th, 2022 (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/466/view) so please keep in mind that any older legacy products, extensions, mod files etc. are not guaranteed to work and may contain outdated or inaccurate information.

This is a thread that will help people to find community produced data/library modules for their C&C games.

If you have developed a module (or know of one that has been developed), please post here with a link to where it can be found. Only freely distributable material please - OGL, creative commons, etc.. No copyright material will be listed here.

Added the GM version of the Crusader's Companion, but it's handled at the same link as above.

Hey... feeling kind of silly here. Have renamed the two files to .mod but computer seems to still think they are .zip files and FG doesn't recognize the modules in game. Know I'm missing something.

Disable "Hide extensions for known file types" in Windows explorer.

They will be once I get past a few family/personal issues and can start gaming again!

<FG App Data>\modules - get to the FG App Data folder by clicking the folder icon to the top right of the initial FG launch screen. Further info on modules here: Info here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Data_Files_Overview#Modules and here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Library

You'll want to put them in the Extensions folder within the FG -- assuming you're on a PC, and depending on the version of Windows you're running, the path looks something like this:

C:\Users\[YOUR_USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Fantasy Grounds II\extensions

You'll need to extract the ".ext" files out of the ZIP files - those get placed in the Extensions folder, not the ZIP files themselves.

Plus they're modules not extensions. ;)

@jhall6766 - you'll also need to rename the .zip file to .mod - you may have to enable viewing of file extensions on your operating system to be able to do this. Follow the "TO INSTALL:" instructions in post #1 of the module specific thread (linked in post #1 of this thread).

DANG IT! IT'S NOT LIKE I MADE THEM OR SOMETHING!

I feel so old.

I'm becoming my great aunt.

"Darn it, I *just* had the piano repairman here, but it's still so far out of tune!"

*plays a bunch of wrong notes*

"It's like he didn't even fix anything."

*continues to play the wrong notes*

Ugh.

So, I put both in my mods files but looking through the book, there seems to be things missing.. Spells I think.. Looks like this..

9597

Anyone else have this issue. All I did was dl them. Change the .zip to .mod and put them in the mods folder..

Do you have the PHB loaded in the campaign you're looking at? The Crusader's Companion re-lists a ton of the core PHB spells, so I just linked to the PHB spells in the CC module.

Well, I could do that but I'm just wondering why they wouldn't be showing. But hmmm I just checked and they seem to be all there now... That is weird..

The CC module does not contain the spell info from the PHB (I don't think it legally can, as the PHB & C&C ruleset are items which must be purchased)... it only contains a pointer to the spell in the PHB. So when the PHB is not loaded, there is literally nothing for FG to display for those spells... they're just utterly unavailable in every way, other than a link pointing at something that FG is looking for but not finding. Once you activate the PHB, then when FG displays that page, the info the page is pointing at in teh PHB is available for FG to display.

GotchA.. I had it purchased and everything, just not activated when I put it in I guess. Or I had to deactivate it/reactivate it for them to show. Seems to be fine now..

Feel free to link it up:

https://rpg.works/files/CC_Play_Aid.mod

It provides a couple of JPG images with tables and stuff to give a new player a helping hand.
