Updated 10-28-2015

New Update Features

Special Materials Added
all tables now in line with https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items as of 10-28-2015
Items search now available
Complete overhaul of Wondrous Items tables
Added Greater, Medium, and Lesser values to all tables
Added optional tables (moved cursed and intelligent items off the main table rolls)

Known Issues

Not well organized (I didn't dive into how to organize tables and items, so lists are a mess. Best to search for the table you want)

Thanks Trenloe,

As a side note all functions work but the actual dice rolling in the Live version 3.0.2 (the dice will roll and you can get your results that way but the links will not show in chat) but it works just fine in 3.0.3

Copy the .zip file to your <FG Data folder>\modules directory and rename from .zip to .mod. Then you should be able to activate this module in the library module activation screen of a PFRPG campaign.

Greetings Trashkicker,

I hope you are still actively monitoring the use of your Magic Item Generator. I finally got around to trying it out, and I'm wondering about the intent of the following sequence:

On the Minor Magic Item Generation table, I clicked the die to roll a new item and saw the following:

8836

(typo: misspelled 'agian')

Note that the link is a link to:

8837

Other uses of the tool generate an actual item (wand, or potion, etc...) I expected this to do the same, only cursed.

?

Thanks.

I think I get your intent now. The 'roll again' instructions are to the User (me), right?

So, we get a curse, of some variation, and then we roll a second time, and we apply the curse to the newly generated item...

Sorry for my denseness.

Thanks for the tool. It's going to come in handy.

yes, the original intent of the cursed item section was for the GM to run through as a sort of guide to help create a cursed item, but it's not all that smooth. I just found out (although not tested it) that i can put a link to the same table there so it would automatically re-roll for you. (but like i said i haven't tested that Yet)

on a side note I am intending to overhaul the magic tables at some point, just haven't had time to work on fg stuff lately. I intend to get the tables more in line with the website :https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items#Table-Random-Magic-Item-Generation

Finally had some time to look at this again, and update the tables. Let me know if you run into any issues

Peace!

I have the same problem. I can not find it in my library.
I have just put it into the modules folder like I have done successfully with every other module, but I can not find it. I can find everything else I put into the modules folder. It has the correct file type (.mod)

I play pathfinder

I have downloaded the .mod file. Now the instructions state to change the .zip file to a .mod file. Now with the magic item generator it saves already as a .mod file and it does not populate in the library section. I am unable to load this module. Can someone provide another file that will load or provide instructions on how to get it to work? I got the random encounter table to work. Thanks

The original file has since been loaded as a .mod file, so no need to rename or anything - just put it in your FG \modules directory. This module will only be available in campaigns created with the PFRPG ruleset.

The problem is still there, I can not find the module in the library.
Campaign is a pathfinder campaign
I have put the file in the module folder, as I have done with many other modules, they are working fine.
Under library->Modules this magic item generator module is no listed. I can not see it or access it

So the problem that I and others are having is that we can not find it. Does anybody in here get this module to work?

Hi Svandal
I just checked and it didnt load for me.
I unzipped it into a folder with modules and it did load for me.
I cant see what is otherwise wrong with it - it may be an incompatible zip option or something...
It will work fine unzipped.

It's probably double zipped. Had a GM with this problem a couple times.

Ok, then it might be that I am missing something here.
This is how I do it:
First step: Download the PFRPGMagicItemGenerator.mod file from the first post
Second step: Put it into the modules folder.
Third step: Go into a pathfinder game and try to look for it under library->Modules. Book is not there

The file I downloaded is a .mod file, but unlike all the other .mod files I can unzip it. But this archive there is only 3 files:
db.xml
definition.xml
thumbnail.png
If I unzip these files into my modules folder I can not find the book
If I change the path from xml to .mod I can not find the book
If I change the path for PFRPGMagicItemGenerator.mod to PFRPGMagicItemGenerator.rar I can not find the book.

There is something you do with your file that I do not do to make it work. Can you please try to explain how I make this module work?

Thank you.

The .mod file uploaded by Trashkicker was using 7Z compression, which doesn't work with FG. I've re-packaged with normal ZIP compression and updated the attachment in post #1. This should now work fine.

Hey Trashkicker, on the *Major Magic Item Generation** table, you have no entry for 81-85
