CoreRPG ruleset version update: April 2018: FG 3.3.6 has been pushed via the FG update mechanism.

All of the following extensions need to be verified with FG 3.3.6.

Please comment on individual extensions in the specific extension thread - keep this thread for info on new/updated extensions. Thanks!

Developers - you're welcome to look at the code in these extensions as examples of how to develop your own extensions. If you want to use the code, please be polite and get in touch with the developer who made the extension and ask permission to use their code (send them a PM and post in the relevant extension thread). Some developers may no longer be active in the community, give the dev a couple of weeks to respond and if they don't respond you have done the polite thing and should be able to use their code (as long as the extension does not specifically say you can't). If you do use other people's code please mention them in the extension - it's only fair to give credit where credit is due.

Developers who don't want other people to use their code should say so in their extension.

Bradmcadam's Shop & Town database has been updated by Trenloe and myself and now works with CORERPG.

The extension is available here (http://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?16568-Shop-amp-Town-Extension-for-3-5E-Pathfinder-4E&p=166591&viewfull=1#post166591)

The Town extension adds a database for storing the general information and game characteristics of the town, links to the notable NPCs and a list of local shops.

The Shop extension allows you to set up shops with an inventory of available items and their prices, plus general description

Two associated extensions are in the works - Places and Groups.

I assume this list is for all compatible extensions, correct? If so, does anyone know if the Languages extension is compatible? It's the one that lets you specify a for entered NPC text, and the text is scrambled for people characters that can't speak that language. Dunno where to get it (which is why I like this thread - so tired of having to hunt down stuff in the forums that should be easily accessible somewhere on the FG site... so if it's compatible, this seems like a great place to post a link to it.

I think current iteration does not yet specify Core - it needs to be added... but it does work if that is added Im sure.

It works with FG 3.0, but this current version is very specific to 3.5e/Pathfinder in terms of the languages it supports: http://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?15561-Tenian-s-language-extension-for-3-5E and it specifically looks for the PC languages in charsheet.id-000XX.languagelist, then the <name> tag of all of the children - which is the DB structure C&C uses.

So, as damned mentions, you could edit the extension to allow Castles and Crusades to use it and you should be OK as long as the languages are OK for you.

I have plans to make it more generic, perhaps with a module activation for groups of languages similar to how calendars are activated for the calendar functionality - but that is a way off yet...

I wasn't aware that pre-AD&D 2E there was alignment languages: http://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/10032/whats-the-deal-with-alignment-languages These would just have to be covered as a specific language - i.e. add your alignment to the language list for a specific language module.

I'm pretty sure (which probably means I'm wrong) that in our old AD&D 1e campaign that people could speak their alignment language. I can ask around with my old gaming buddies.

Random Extension 0.8 is now working for 3.0,

Although it is hard coded tables, it does give someone a few random abilities for GMs. Please add it to the list.

As the Author of the Locations Extension I haven't tested it explicitly with any Ruleset bar the CoreRPG Ruleset, but as it's all new code (or code that sits on top of the CoreRPG Code) and doesn't touch much if any functionality that would likely to be changed by any Ruleset or Extension based on the CoreRPG, it should work fine.

I'll be releasing version 2.0 in a very small while which adds a whole bunch of new "stuff" (so keep an eye out for it :) ), but even then my above statement should still apply.

A few new extensions and updates for FG 3.0.7 - always remember to update your extensions to the latest. This is very important to keep current compatibility, especially after a FG version update!

With FG 3.0.9 being released today please keep in mind that your extensions may need updating - if you suddenly start getting errors, disable your extensions to see if there is a specific extension that is causing you issues - if so, contact the extension developer for a fix.

Updates in post #1 for some extensions that have been checked for FG 3.0.9 compatibility.

I have updated the Alternative Wood and Dungeon Themes to work with the 5E ruleset, in addition to the CoreRPG, 3.5, Pathfinder, and 4E ones. Kinda funny since the basic ones are not available in 5E. ;)

Feature update:

Added code for understanding all languages but can't speak them. Use a language name of "comprehend languages" or "understands all" on the character sheet. See post #1 for how to use this.
Added code for speaking all languages. Use a language name of "tongues" or "speaks all" on the character sheet. See post #1 for how to use this.
Added error handling for /setlanguage - needs two arguments to write to database. This avoids issues with blank entries.
/help slashhandler to return extension help.
Set default current language with /currentlanguage <language name>. See post #1 for how to use this.

I did a really simple extension last night to tweak the Hotkeys to use Bold and Drop Shadow text.. it is set up to work with any ruleset.
All it does is change the one font reference. Useful when trying to view the white font on a light colored background.

Actually.. I went to put together some screenshots to show what this does and realized that Drop Shadows already exist in the PFRPG ruleset for hotkeys... I'm not sure about other ones. All this extension really does there is turn the font from regular to bold... which helps visibility a bit.. but...

Added new extension: GM PC Ownership: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?28728-GM-PC-Ownership-Extension

Allows the GM to take ownership of PC records, thus hiding the PC from the players in the Character Selection screen. Handy when the GM builds detailed NPCs using the PC sheet. This replaces the need for the GM to separately login as a player and take ownership of a PC record.

When you first open FG there is a folder that you can open (illustrated in the attached image) there you will find the extensions folder.. put your extensions in there.

Yes of course - its ultimately the same game with a pretty steam launcher.
On the splash screen click on the folder Icon on the upper right and you will have access to all your Fantasy Grounds folders there.

Has there been an update or something to the DOE suite? None of my DOE extensions all of a sudden stopped being avaliable to load. They were fine, working great in fact I just added and figured out the sounds extention, when they stopped loading. I tried updating the Base Extention but that didnt help. I am kinda bummed because I was making some great progress fleshing out my Wheel of Time campaign with Locations, I have all the locations but I cant access them because the extentions wont load. Did I miss an updat or cross uncompatable extentions or some thing, I dont know if that is even possible. Thanks for any help.

OK, so nothing has changed with the DOEs avalaible from these forums - I am working on FGv3.2-compatable ones, but they haven't been released yet.

So when you say they aren't loading what do you mean exactly - Are they not showing up in the FG Loader window, are they showing up but with red Xs next to them, when selected are they "grey-out" or "nice & clear" on the FG Loaded, are they any messages in the console window when you start your Ruleset (start the ruleset, type "/console" into the chatbox to open the console window, then type "/reload" into the chatbox and see if any messages are displayed).

And finally, which Ruleset are you using them with?

Let me know and we'll getr this sorted for you :)

Thank you, I am sorry I should have been more specific. They show up in the loader but only with a red x, and only the sub extentions, the Base extension is fine. I have several Rulesets, the one I am using is Core, I have noticed if the "Base" is not turned on the others are then "grey-out", that is no problem solved that one, lol. But the red "X" has got me stumped. The error I get is "Rutime Error: desktop: Unable to create window with invalid class (xcBuilding ::[email protected] Weapon Location)" This is a shortcut to a merchant shop that I have in a mod. None of the DOE icons are showing up on the desktop, and the existing shortcuts all give a similar error. these errors come up without typing anything in the chatbox. I have had the same error with the "Expanded NPC Weapons" extention as well, thugh it never worked, not once. The DOE worked fine then just died, the sound shortcuts still reach Syrinscape and play, but I can not access them beyond that.

You need to download the latest versions.... The red cross means they are not compatible with your ruleset version or another DOE extension.

I'm having trouble finding a extension made by a member. It changed the colour of the highlight circle on a token when it is that tokens turn in the combat tracker.

Anyone got a link to it?

MoreCore has been updated extensively and converted to a ruleset now.

As long as it is going to the same RuleSet, all DOEs should export normaly.

Actually, as long as the information in the DOEs is ruleset-neutral (ie no NPCs linked in, as an eg) the DOEs will export and import into any Ruleset.

Building a ruleset is a project. A non trivial project that will likely take you a long time. There is no tutorial for this.

1 - Add a Chat Bubble that displays in the Chat the current phase of the moon.
2 - Create a dial that does the same that makes the phases of the moon, but showing the season of the month.

It will allow you to set the unit size of a grid/hex instead of just the standard 5ft. A lot of the older games use 10ft unit size and this will allow those DM/players to properly see distances for those maps.

DMFirmy wrote the moon phases extension I believe. He isnt on here very often but does respond on email... Could be a good opportunity for you to crack open an extension and try your hand :)

Hi. I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate, but it appears as though there is precedence and that it is common practice to list an extension that supports multiple rulesets in each of the ruleset's extensions list.

Field Filters for All Libraries has been enhanced to specifically support the CoreRPG, the 3.5E (and PFRPG), and 5E rulesets.

MUSE - Map Unit Settings Extension (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?39463-MUSE-Map-Unit-Settings-Extension-(CoreRPG)) - Set the map unit size to whatever is needed (10ft, 12yrd, 3m/etc)

All should work for CoreRPG and related rulesets that use it.

I know there's an extension to add Hero Points to the character sheet, but in the game I'm currently gearing up (original Marvel Super Heroes) it uses a Karma "pool" that's available to all the characters. Short of using a shared Note, I would like to have a small window graphic that shows the available karma points in the pool to all the players. Is there anything (extension) out there that could emulate this? Or am I asking for a new toy?

It would be something completely new...
You could have the GM setup a PC or NPC with the Karma Pool and she would spend them on the direction of the party perhaps?

Hah. Hero Points was really just made as a test but I see it cropping up on lots of different screenshots.
