Is there any way to alter the threaten range when a player uses a reach weapon? I tired adding a reach property to a weapon, but the threaten range for the character still shows just 5 ft around him.

Along the same lines, is there a way to indicate which weapon is equipped? The only thing I saw in the inventory sheet was a "location" field, but I'm not sure that does anything.

No, there's no way to alter the reach automatically based on the weapon used - you have to adjust the character's reach manually as required. Note that the reach templates in FG are incorrect, in any case - they're just squares.

Sadly, there's also no way to show which weapon is equipped. I suggested a while back that someone more talented than me might create a "weapon in hand" extension to easily show (and change) what's in each PC's hands, but no-one's done so yet, as far as I'm aware.

It doesn't happen automatically, but you can adjust the reach of a character in the combat tracker.
