I have found using the masking mode is a bit of a hassle when it comes to oddly shaped rooms or rectangular rooms that are diagonally situated. Currently it looks like in order to add/remove masking, the only options are using a rectangle or the pencil/freehand tool.
I thought it would be nice to have a photoshop-like pen tool to quickly cut masks out of oddly oriented rectangles or jagged circlular rooms. Mostly just a quality of life benefit. I didn't see an extension that does this, but correct me if there is one.
