An "easy" / idiot proof way of adding a pitcure to your module export?

OK I don't think I've even managed to get this to work. Can someone post a "version for dummies" step by step path for ensuring exported modules have a picture associated with them?

Put your image file in the root of the module .mod file - the filename needs to be thumbnail.png (the graphic must be in PNG format).
