Sorry, been out of the forum loop for a spell. What is the CoreRPG? Is it a replacement for the Open Foundation Ruleset?

Thanks

CoreRPG is the new base ruleset that everything in 3.0 should be built on top of - you don't have to build on top of it, but doing so is heavily recommended. It allows for ruleset layering and the base non-ruleset specific FG functionality will be included in CoreRPG. If rulesets are built (layered) on top of CoreRPG it will make it possible that future FG developments in functionality and bug-fixes to be included in CoreRPG and so all rulesets layered on top of CoreRPG will get access to the new functionality and bug-fixes.

It is developed and supported by SmiteWorks and is distributed/updated using the standard FG update mechanism.

The CoreRPG ruleset is also designed to be a generic ruleset that can be used for any game system which does not have a specific ruleset for Fantasy Grounds.
