I'm thinking its time to start GMing a game or two and want to get my feet wet. What games are free other than 1st steps? I don't want to waste my gp if I suck at GMing. ;)

Master of the Fallen Fortress is free and usable for Pathfinder Society

We Be Goblins and We Be Goblins Too are also free, but I wouldn't recommend using these as your first adventures.

There is currently 30% off older PFS scenarios at the moment (until the end of October), so you wouldn't be wasting too much money if you sucked! ;-)

Remember also that only First Steps part 1 is now available for PFS play, parts 2 and 3 have been retired.

First Steps is being retired (the second and third already are) and a new set of free tier 1 scenarios will be released for Season 5.

You also have a free quest from a Kobold Quarterly. It doesn't have rewards, but is shorter and easier to run than a typical scenario. Might be good practice if you can get players.

There is also a few free single-session modules that are sanctioned for PFS. These were typically for Free RPG Day.

Well then what do you recommend...

How come no one does Dawn of the Scarlet Sun? is it hard?

I don't think it is hard. I will be running it soon if you want to play before running it.

Honestly, I recommend First Steps for learning to GM Society. But if you are new to GMing altogether, I recommend a non-Society module first. The time crunch of a single-session game and the extra restrictions and work for PFS can distract from your ability to learn to GM.

Master of the Fallen Fortress is a good one for a new GM.
