I'd like to sign up for this. I'll post Hakeem's sheets after I finish the scenario on the 19th, unless you just want a filler xml for now.

Bah. Upon looking through my chronicles for some of my old characters, I found one for the Hydra's Fang Incident. So I won't be able to join you for this.

Shame, but thanks for being thorough and checking. :)

I'm in, with Metropolis (as posted for Among the Living, though I can post his xml and chronicle again if needed).

If we end up with a group of mostly low level again, I might roll up a new guy or use the guy I'm saving for a race boon. I figure I can still rebuild him after one more scenario (he'd be 2 after this).

In PFS it's usually a good idea having a 1st level character ready to go, so I'd recommend making one anyway.

Is this game level 1 friendly?

For some reason I can't upload a file. I click on manage attachments but it doesn't do anything.

Short solution: Close your browser, and come back to this thread without going to the Game Calendar first. You will be able to upload then.

Long explanation: Since the new version of the forums have been installed, your browser gets switched to secured mode (https:// in the address window) when you go to the Game Calendar. In secured mode, the pop-up window to manage attachments does not work (at least in Chrome).

Seems with the extra level 1s I'll be switching characters. I have a level one with 2 chronicles I can bring, but I'm not sure what he was last or what he'll be this time around (hooray for 1st level rebuilds!). I'll weigh my options and upload his xml in a few hours.

I am not sure I will be able to play so I wont commit, but if I get home from work on time and there is still a spot I would like to play.

OK folks, it is decision time. Less than 6 hours to go to the game and we currently have:

Signed up:
Dust Raven Level 5 Magus or Level 1 ???
jshauber Level 1 Alchemist
Harbinger Level 5 Monk

And a maybe of:
Macgreine Level 1 Fighter

This is obviously quite a split group. Current status (this includes Macgreine playing a level 1 PC or a GM ran level 1 pregen to make the table minimum of 4 PCs:

If we have 1x5 and 3x1 (Dust Raven plays his level 1) then we have an APL (average party level of 2) so the game will be played at subtier 1-2. This is fine but Harbinger will not be challenged playing this game.
If we have 2x5 (Dust Raven plays his level 5) and 2x1 then we have APL 3 - which for 4 players and a season 0 scenario means that the table will play at subtier 1-2. Not challenging for Dust Raven or Harbinger.
If we have 2x5 (Dust Raven plays his level 5) , 1x4 (pregen) and 1x1 then we have APL 4 - which means the table will play subtier 4-5, not ideal for jshauber with his level 1.

Options:

Play either of the above 3 possibilities.
jshauber and Macgreine (or a GM ran pregen if Macgreine doesn't make it) play a level 4 pregen and the table player at subtier 4-5 with Dust Raven and Harbinger playing their level 5's.
Harbinger brings a level 1 PC (either makes one or plays one of the pregens) and the other players use their level 1's - game plays at subtier 1-2.

Also, this game is close to not going off - if we only get 2 players the game cannot go ahead.

All players: Please confirm you will be making the game tonight (Macreine please let us know when you know you will definitely be making it) and also give me your opinion on what subtier this game should run. Thanks.

My preference is Option 3 where we all have lvl 1 characters.

That said, I am not opposed to running a pre-gen of higher level and playing at a higher sub-tier if that is what it takes.

If ever only two players show up, they will be welcome to join the other table running The Cyphermage Dilemma.

Unfortunately I need to sit this one out. Sorry about the short notice, but I got home today to find I have no internet and no technician will be out until tomorrow. I'm only sending this because the McDonald's at the corner has free wi-fi.

so can I get into the other game with my level 5 ? or does this mean I miss out of both games?

Malkavian_Andi

technically, you can. But looking at the characters already at the table, it looks like we're going to play low tier.

You can get in on the other game - but with your level 5 it actually pushes them into having to play subtier 4-5 when they would be APL 2 normally...

If you have a lower level PC that would make the subtier 1-2 and help to make the game more fun for everyone...

Thanks, I really shouldn't even try to game on Fridays before 9 cst. Everytime I try, work gets in the way. Ended up getting home and settled at about 8:30.
