View Full Version : Probably a total Noob question... but one I'll ask anyway

I just finished my first module by building it in a separate 'campaign' (other than my main player campaign) and exporting it to a module. I opened it and my group (consisting of me and my 9 year old son) are playing through it, and I noticed that in the GM instance of FG2, all of the module story links, encounters, notes, NPCs, Items and parcels have a small book icon next to them in their respective index windows. I gather that means that those entries are there based on the fact that they originate from an external module and were not generated in the local campaign file set. Can anyone confirm this? I can't seem to find anything in the documentation or forums speaking to it.

The second part of the question has to do with how that little book icon changes to a book with a pen over it if I make any edits. What are the implication to this change in status?

Thanks.

Cheers,
jp

In Fantasy Grounds v2.x, exported modules are of the "host" module type, which means that the records can be edited. The little book icon tells you that those records are editable, but have not been changed; while the book with pen indicates that the records have been edited. You can revert those records using the radial menu.

Thank you for the explanation. It makes sense. I just wanted to know what the implications were were if any. Now I know.
