hiya, are there any resources available for keying up some of the more complex spell effects.... a good example might be acid arrow, which does dammage over time.
its trivially easy to apply this dammage all in one instant hit , but im having a little trouble making it into something that accrues over a number of rounds.
theres a few other things id like to be able to set up like searing ray where the amount of dammage depends on the target.
vampiric touch where the dammage is easy to set up and likewise a heal effect would also be easy, but tying the two together... more difficult.

thanks muchly.

Try starting at this post in this thread (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?19294-NPC-Effect-Spell-Auto-Phrases-ver-2-9-4&p=153893&viewfull=1#post153893). It will point you to where you can find a reference for all that.

Damage over time is listed as a damage type (DMGO). Different targets would require different damage actions. I don't think you can combine two actions on a spell, but if you use the mini character sheet or NPC sheet, the small icons to trigger the actions can just be clicked back-to-back.

You can apply multiple attacks, effects and healing to spells. Acid arrow would have 3 (attack, damage, and effect) the effect is:

DMGO: 2d4 acid;

Due to the odd addition of duration to it, you will have to manually change it as you can only do Every, Odd, or Even Caster Levels.
