We often play in one physical location, and have only 2-3 computers for 4-6 people. Is it possible to make this arrangement work by having players take turns at one computer, with the GM having a dedicated computer?

Thanks!

Since a player account can load more than one character, I'd say yes. People more experienced than I can give you more feedback and advice though.

Yes, more than one character can be loaded in each player instance. Once they are loaded, you can bring up any of the loaded character sheets just by double-clicking on the upper left portrait. Also, any player can move friendly tokens on the map.

Be sure to customize the color of the dice for each player portrait when you run this way so it gives additional indication when the active player has switched. That also allows you to distinguish any pointers or areas of effects that the each player creates.

Back when I made my 4E videos, I had 5 characters open in a single FG2 window, connected to local host. :) I had a different die color for each one and would double click the portrait to switch which one I was controlling. :)

All in one client? How did you adjust the die color for each character? It thought that was tied to the client as a whole...

No, dice colors ate tied to characters. When you change/set the dice color for a character the color is tied to the currently active character. To give another dice color to a different character make that the active character and change the dice color. If you've done it right then switching the active character will change show the different colors. Note there is a default color so if you open a bunch of characters without setting any colors they will have the same dice colors if one has not previously been set.
