ERROR:Could not load ruleset root file (base.xml)

Could someone help please. I recently downloaded fantasy grounds on to my new lap top and when trying to run FG an error immediately appears ERROR: Could not load ruleset root file (base.xml) and offers to try downloading again but when I say yes it keeps coming up with that same error.

I would check the ruleset that you are running to see if the base.xml is in the right spot. It should be in the root folder of the ruleset. If you zipped a ruleset up to create a pak file then the zip might have created an extra directory and put the files within it.

I think I have probably missed downloading some files, is there another way to locate my license number as well, i had a lap top die and foolishly did not store info off site

Yes, if you go to the store you should see an Order History link in the upper right. Click on it and then click on the link to the order that contains the license. It should be listed there.
