problems connecting over openvpn

How, exactly, do you have OpenVPN setup?

And how are you trying to use it? As a player connecting to a GM or as a GM?

when using a vpn you will need to connect to the vpn provided ip address

I was just curious, as i don't really care if the NSA know i am playing on fantasy Grounds but occasionally when I'm torrenting I do fire up FG to do some game prep and I noticed I couldn't connect, thanks for the reply Damned.

If you're just firing up FG to do some prep, I presume the issue you have is FG being unable to refresh the alias by connecting to the Smiteworks server. If so, just disable the alias for the campaign you are loading and it will not need any network connection.
