Yeah I know I'm being really picky about this but I'd really like the Fantasy Companion to show in the same category as Horror and Supers, with the correct label "SW Fantasy Companion".
Could this be fixed in a future update please?

Right quick fix:


Make a copy of the .mod file and put is somewhere safe.

Rename .mod file to .zip

Extract common.xml from the zip file.

Using Notepad++ or other Text Editor open the common.xml

find the following line:

<categoryname type="string">Companion</categoryname>

Change Companion to Savage Worlds Companions

Save change

Update common.xml in zip file.

Rename the common.xml file to client.xml and use the renamed file to update the client.xml file inside the zip file

Rename .zip back to .mod and test.

Changing the name from Fantasy Companion to SW Fantasy Companion is a little more complicated and require you to find and change every reference to Fantasy Companion in the common.xml, the client.xml and the definition.xml file.

I have found some other problems with my copy of the Fantasy companion, for example the Bandit has no weapons and gore as a special ability, either my copy is very wrong, or someone never noticed!

By the way I double checked the Bandit entry and mine has the same problems.
