Hi guys,
first of all let me introduce myself. My name is Max, and i'm a rpg player since 1989.
I was running an epic Elric campaing (Stormbringer) with my group (Chaosium rules, same as CoC) but then our rl took us off, and actually we are worldwide scattered.
We were thinking about buy FG2 in order to continue our campaing, but i've some questions first.

1) Considering that we are 7, it's better for us to buy a Unlimited version?

2) Is it possible to run an Elric campaing? I mean: do i need to run a Call of Cthulhu texture and after that modify it (if it's possible)? Or it's easy to develop a new ruleset starting from zero?

3) It's possible to manage the fog of war? As far as i've seen, it's the only not-supported feature of the whole system.

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

Thank you all!!! :)

Welcome to the Fantasy Grounds forums!

1) Considering that we are 7, it's better for us to buy a Unlimited version?
If you will only have 1 GM then an ultimate will be the cheaper way to go, but the ultimate license is not transferable, so if you will have more than 1 GM then you may need to look at fulls/lites. See this thread for a bit more info: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18826

I haven't looked at Elric for a long time, but you could probably use the Basic RP ruleset as is: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.xcp?id=CHA2020aFG2

3) It's possible to manage the fog of war? As far as i've seen, it's the only not-supported feature of the whole system.
FG does not have automatic fog-of-war, but it does have a masking tool - where the GM manually makes portions of a map visible to the players. To be honest, full automatic fog-of-war might be nice (as long as you control where the players move their tokens), but the masking functionality within Fantasy Grounds is really good enough to reveal what the party as a whole sees. Just click-drag to unmask an area of the map.

Thanks for the quick and complete reply, Trenloe! :)
BRP is a very good starting point to set up a Stormbringer campaign, thanks for the tip ;)

Indeed it is. I actually made an extension just to do that. Never came anything of it, but if you like a copy, PM me.

There is a virtual gaming convention going on right now, and anyone can join in and play using an unregistered copy of FG2. On Sunday Paolo Guccione ( author and publisher of BRP related books Alephtar Games) is going to run a session of BRP if you want to try out FG2 and BRP at the same time.
