View Full Version : Visible GM Dicerolls?

I noticed that the website says I can press some key combo to make a GM dice roll visible to players, but when I push the combo it does not work. I have to go to options and click "Show GM rolls" when I want to show it which is an annoying hassle.

Is this user error or a bug on my part?

No hotkey to quickly hide and show it then as you're rolling?

Yep type those command into the chat window (but do not press return/enter) drag the text down to a hot key, repeat for second command.

Can you provide a link to where this is mentioned on the website please? It may need updating...

Also, what ruleset are you using?

https://www.fantasygrounds.com/userguide/gmchat.xcp <-- Hold Ctrl and dice roll should be public. I remember this working in earlier version.

Oh wow, that's an old user guide. I don't think that is actually a public link any more - where did you find that link?!?

The updated user guides are provided in the "Library" section (link at the top of this page).

As Valarian mentioned the info on "GM Dice Roll Visibility" is under this link: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/userguide35E/gm_chat.xcp then look in the sub-heading on the left hand side under "GM Guide - Desktop" -> "GM Chat" -> "GM Dice Roll Visibility". Even if you're not interested in the 3.5e ruleset, most of the 3.5e user guide is appropriate to most Fantasy Grounds rulesets.
