Hi, I'm interested in testing FG2 with my old PnP group. I have a full license.
Can we test things out in any manner (without a save perhaps) if they just download the demo version?
Edit: I'd like them to be able to connect to me as a GM.

With a full license, one unlicensed player *only* can connect and FG switches to "demo mode" - no other players can connect either unlicensed or licensed. If a licensed player tries to connect the unlicensed one will be "kicked off" and the GM will switch back to normal mode from demo mode.
The advantage of this is that it does appear that campaign data is saved - so it is possible to run a game 1-on-1 with a full license and 1 unlicensed player in demo mode.
To play with more than one player, each of the players will need to have a minimum of a lite license. There are bundle discounts available if all licenses are bought at the same time.

Awesome, thanks for the reply!
I'm trying to convince my old group to use FG2! We've got a group in time stasis, trapped in the Great Pyramid, for over 5 years now! :)

I5 in the Deserts of Desolation series.

That's a pretty solid series, though there were some pretty silly backstory issues. Like the party starts off dying from lack of water when Create Water is a 1st level spell. But the overall arc was not bad.

It's a great series, with a very memorable climax. The players I ran through it back in the day still talk about it now. And I've got most of them back together, playing online via Fantasy Grounds! I hope you manage to reassemble your group.

It's pretty intense. What makes it different is that my group is stumbling through the area even though the prophecy has not yet occurred/is not occurring.
