I'm looking to broaden my mapping capabilities, but don't have the time to use pyromancers or skill to draw things up from scratch. I thought I had heard about some map tilesets being available in Shockbolt's amazing Fantasy Art kit. Am I correct in thinking such, or am I going crazy (again)?

If so, as an ultimate license holder, are those tilesets something I can expect to see added in an update for free? If not, what do I need to do to go about getting my hands on the tiles? Wonderfully detailed tiles that I can continue to use in new and creative ways to keep my maps fresh is exactly what I'm looking for!

Here's where I turn to this great community. Bring on the tips, advice, two cents! Thanks!

I think the most popular source for graphic files for private use is Dunjinni.

https://www.dundjinni.com/art/user_art.asp

You might find something there to suit you.

Another choice is to use Tiamat

You will either have to purchase individual tiles or buy Skeleton Key tile sets through RPGNow

Campaign Cartographer 3/Dungeon Designer 3 is what I use to make my own tiles. It's not for everyone but here is a playlist of YouTube videos that will show just how easy it can be:

It takes a little learning, but that guys tutorials have just been amazing.

Shockbolts Tokens I think are included in the Ultimate License but Im not sure if all his mapping stuff is too? Could be wrong.
I think Raymond might have temporarily hit the wall with his output and real life has caught up....

To your other question - if you havent got time to use Pyromancers you havent got time to use ANYTHING. Mapping - especially with tilesets is very time consuming. Did I say VERY? If not I meant to. It really does take a long time. Pyromancers web page can let you make quite good outdoor and dungeon maps in about 10mins. Sure there is a little learning curve but really it works well and it is free.

You can always do broad/base map with Pyro nice and quickly and then add soe more detail with GIMP/PaintShop/paint.Net/PhotoShop or whatever else you use.
And then there are the excellent mapping tools - but they too have significant learning curves.

I strongly recommend you revisit Pyromancers if you are short on time.

So far only monster, creature and character artwork have been integrated from the base fantasy art kit. This thread has some info on what was available - you might inquire in that thread to see if anything else is coming: www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?17420-New-art-pack-coming-to-Fantasy-Grounds

As damned says - any mapping tool is going to be like Pyromancers or more complex. Pyromancer does the minimum of what you need - have a pallet of mapping objects, select an object, put it on your map. That's about as basic as it gets - and if you think you don't have time to use that to create a map in 10-15 minutes then, as damned says, you don't have time to make maps.

Even when/if mapping objects from Shockbolt's base fantasy art kit are integrated into Fantasy Grounds you'll still have to: select a mapping object (more than likely integrated as a token), put the token on the map; select another mapping token, put it on the map... This is no different from Pyromancers mapping application/web page.

I strongly recommend you revisit Pyromancers if you are short on time.
This.

Or, spend your time surfing the Internet looking for pre-drawn maps and use those. Start here for some awesome free maps: www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?15833-Tor-s-Maps
