Come join Doc Dublais (ex-confederate field surgeon & gunfighter), Mattie Gunn (former trick rider & marksman), Rufus Temple (scout & good ol' boy), and Bi-ih Wo’oteyonec (aka "Big Wooden Neck" or "Dark Waters", a Pah-ute medicine mountain man) as they escort some Wisconsin emigrants on from Winnemucca, NV to northern CA on the Lassen-Applegate trail. Then it's off to the California gold fields.
Semi-realistic old west, (kinda like Red Dead Redemption) set in 1866 post-civil war California and Nevada. It's a very immersive game with great vibe and a relaxed pace, emphasis on role playing but with some action & gunfights.
Game system based on C&C (like a streamlined AD&D) with Rolemaster criticals. Classes & skills adapted from Sidewinder, Go Fer Yer Gun!, and some custom. I'm an easy-going GM and am happy to teach noobs of C&C and/or Fantasy Grounds. Alternating Fridays, 5-9pm Pacific. FG text chat only. Setting, rules details, wiki, session scheduling, etc. set up on Obsidian Portal (you'll need to provide me with your account name there - it's free).
PLEASE BE PREPARED TO:
Monitor and respond to very occasional emails from the OP web site;
Do a moderate amount of typing (no voice chat means typing only);
Maintain about 75% or better game session attendance (everyone has to miss sometimes, but it should be the exception, not a normal thing);
Install and use Hamachi (free VPN software - easy to use - full instructions on the OP site);
Let me know whether or not you'll be attending a game session (this is very easy via just clicking a link in your game reminder email).
