I've been beta-testing the new Perfect World MMO, 'Neverwinter', and it's quite pretty (at least, prettier than Neverwinter Nights 2, and a lot easier to use). I'm seriously considering using the Foundry (equivalent of the NWN2 editor, but a bit less powerful) to create screenshots for use in my FG2 games. Does anyone do similar and if so, what do you use? My only concern is that you can't go first-person in Neverwinter and therefore there's a character model that needs to be dealt with.

Can you zoom out enough/have enough camera control such that you basically have a top down view?

You get a top down viewer for creating the map (as far as I could tell from the Youtube videos - Foundry is still in closed alpha). So it would be easy to create dungeon maps in.

I think you can't control camera zoom at all, but I think you can cheat by putting in a corner, logging into the character third person, and running the character into the corner to push the camera view through your eyes (if that makes sense).

There is a way to pull the maps from the old Black Isle games (Baldur's Gate etc.) if you're interested in something like that. I know some folks don't care for the isometric viewpoint.

PM me if you're interested and we can walk through it.

Thanks,
