With all the reprints Wizards of the coast is doing, and with the PDF re-releases, i just want to comment and say that i think Older editions of DND should get their own forum, instead of being grouped in with "other games" i could see combining Od&D/Basic/1e/&2e in one group labeled 'classic D&D" rather than giving them each thier own. but i have found that many more people are revisiting these older editions with all the classic dnd support wizards of the coast is now offering.

Seconded. I'm one of the FG noobs who eventually drifted here after hearing news about the reprints, and it was a bit odd when I realized I had to look in "Other Game Systems" for good 'ol AD&D. It's kinda like putting Grandpa's bed in the crawl space under the porch.

It does make a bit of sense, but the reason for 'other systems' I think is for those not officially released as part of FG, but are community created.

Good suggestion. I've added a Classic D&D forum under Game Systems. For now, you can reference and discuss any community rulesets and we can re-use the forum if we get official rulesets built for them.

Shouldn't it include things like Castles & Crusades, Labyrinth Lord, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Dungeon World, etc. ?

Obviously you can take a hardline stance that there is a brand difference to justify it being TSR only. However, when you consider common gaming interest, it would make a lot of sense to put all the retro stuff in one place.

Technically, OSRIC isn't TSR (or WotC) either. I'd expect people playing other retroclones like LL would ask questions in the new forum too.

On the other hand, C&C has its own ruleset fully-supported by Troll Lord Games, not to mention a loyal fanbase. I think that's significant enough for its own forum apart from the others.
