Importing into FG2

We manage all of our characters through an extensive excel spreadsheet.
What is going to be the best way to import into FG2?
Mimic the xml output that you get when exporting an FG2 character or something else?

Depends on the ruleset (4E ? Savage Worlds ?)

To be honest, you might find it quicker to just input the data manually, rather than do a one-off custom transform of Excel / CSV data into the required XML structure !

If you forsee doing this multiple times, then perhaps the effort might be worth it - but then you'll need to write it both ways potentially (otherwise updates in FGII would be lost).
