To those of you that know about the CT ruleset and the Gumshoe version of CT (Trail of Cthulhu). How compatible is the FG CT ruleset to the Gumshoe version? Is it worth it to invest in the ruleset or does it not translate over well?

Thanks for any replies!

I am not familiar with either. How close are they to the BRP type Call of Cthulhu?

BRP is very different from the rules used in Trail of Cthulhu. There are no attributes, the skills work differently (although they are called the same). The only dice rolled is a 1d6 in the game.

It uses the same rules as all the Pelgrane titles: Esoterrorists, Fear Itself, etc. The system has absolutely *no* connection to BRP CoC. The system it uses, on the other hand is rules lite and is one of the few games that promotes a "team" of investigators (CoC was void here until Delta Green), and Skills that smooth the flow of investigative games. Great system for investigative roleplay if you happen to pick it up.
