View Full Version : Hiding tokens from other players?

Hola.

I have been looking at something lately that would require me to hide individual tokens from some but not all players. Specifically, I want to be able to let a player set down a token and I want it to remain invisible to the other players until it is their turn...

( I am in fact looking at the X-wing tabletop game... )

Per example the player has a token visible on the board, their own craft, but can put down a maneuver token/template which should stay invisible until they chose to reveal it.

Is this doable? I imagine it COULD be done with layers to some extent?

I would think that in theory the easiest path to this would be to use the lock tokens method, and reconfigure the movement line to be only visible to the player who owns the token and the GM.... but that is just my guess.

There is no mechanism within FG to specify token visibility by player right now.

If it is a game with a judge, they could perhaps have multiple "maps" up with one for each player, and a master map for resolution.
