Ive noticed in order for a weapon to be magical (damage certain creatures) It must have damage type Magic (even if its been given a bonus). However it seems it cant have more than one damage type. So Damage Type: Magic;Piercing wont work?
This might be a problem.

OH! and also incorporal effect doesnt seem to allow the 50% chance of damage for corporal weapons

Two or more types work fine - just separate them with a comma, and don't put any spaces in, e.g. magic, piercing.

Are you still seeing this? That is, 50% damage for magical corporeal weapons? The PF option of the ruleset will apply 50% damage for damage types "magic" or "spell".

Recently in my 3.5 game, the group fought (tried to...) an incorporeal creature.

The only person who wasn't subjected to the 50% miss chance on a hit was the one weilding a magical bastard sword with 'magic' added in the damage type area of the expanded weapon stats.

So in 3.5 at least this does work (if I've understood correctly).

We're presuming Willot is talking about Pathfinder, which handles incorporeal slightly differently to 3.5E.

It's always a good idea to specify which ruleset (and mode) you're using when posting on the forums... :)
