Targeting and Saves 3.5 pathfinder

If I have multiple targets from an area effect
It clears those target from the target list if they make their save

IF however if I only have one target and he or she makes his or her save
It doesnt clear the list?

It depends on the campaign option: Client -> Target: Remove On Miss.

By default this is set to "Multi" which means it will only remove successful saves from the targeting if there are multiple creatures targeted. Set the option to "On" and it will remove single target creatures on a successful save as well as multiple creatures
