I was curious if any one had done a theme extension file that shows the Ravenloft logo or anything along this line. I'm looking for a 3.5 version if one has been done, if not is there a way to edit a current extension to change the way the tabletop appears?

I'm heading out to work now but I'll post up later how I created this (copyright images and all that)

I found the logo here (https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&safe=off&sa=X&tbo=d&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=isch&tbnid=2dINjVTUIjWjvM:&imgrefurl=https://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Ravenloft&docid=jpIaBx1-bl_mtM&imgurl=https://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090529171142/whitewolf/images/1/1e/RavenloftLogo.png&w=968&h=260&ei=dcXvUO_2FpKZ0QWQ9YG4CQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=503&sig=102892958800133232614&page=1&tbnh=69&tbnw=260&start=0&ndsp=70&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0,i:106&tx=164&ty=19)

Open the extensions folder in your Fantasy Grounds II appdata folder.

I copied the 3.5 dungeon theme.

Rename the copied theme (I called it Ravenloft.ext) and change the .ext extension to .zip

Edit the extension.xml and change the name entry to what you want the extension to be displayed as.

Then I opened dekstop.png (in the graphics/frames folder) and removed the dragon logo on the right hand side using GIMP, I then pasted in the ravenloft logo I got from the web site and re-sized it.

I saved the new version of the desktop.png overwriting the existing version.

Then I changed the .zip extension back to .ext and started FGII picked a 3.5 campaign and clicked the Ravenloft theme as my extension.

Hope that helps!

Hi. I'm trying to create a Savage Worlds desktop background for my Realms of Cthulhu Game. From reading the above I have managed to edit the logo but my aim is to change the background picture rather than the logo.
Ideally I want to use this image:

https://www.pelgranepress.com/trail/files/wallpapereldersign_TOC.jpg

I could do with some guidance when I shrink the picture it doesn't view correctly when I open Fantasy Grounds.
Any Guidance Appreciated.

You would really need to set that as the logo, the background is resized/tiled dependant upon the client PC screen res.

Not have a plain backup / easily tiled image does not really work with FGII.

I'd have a black background and then set that image as the logo then it will not tile.

The images for Revenloft are copyright, so people can't legally upload an extension with such images in it.

The instructions in post #3 allow you to create your own for personal use.

I downloaded GIMP. I am having problems being able to paste the logo onto the desktop.png without the white background on the logo.

I've been fiddling around with this all morning and was unable to get it to work. Unless someone is willing to send me their completed Ravenloft file I'm screwed.

Try this: https://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=gimp+remove+background

And this: https://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=gimp+transparent+background

I was able to get very close. It is not right on but decently close. I had already googled to see how to do it is a transparent image. It is difficult though to get around the rounded edges of the image with the tool though.

Thanks anyhow!

Have you tried using the fuzzy select (magic wand) tool?

Like Trenloe said, use the magic wand, but if you are still having trouble with GIMP use Paint.NET which has an easier to use interface and is also free. Paint.NET isn't as powerful as GIMP but it has plenty of power for this job.
