question about the Rule set

how useable is it with other Dnd type games like Swords and wizardry or Labyrinth Lord?

Haven't played any of those games... What is the primary dfifference between them and ad&d 1e?
Castles and crusades has a standard d&d character sheet plus some attributes are marked as prime which are used for siege checks and it uses ascending armour class - so no thac0.
