anyone know if there is an AD&D ruleset for FG? Or even if there's one in development? It's been so long since I've played the old school and wanna play again just for old times' sake.

There's one on the Wiki: https://oberoten.dyndns.org/fgwiki/index.php/AD%26D

I would strongly suggest using the OSRIC ruleset. If you're not familiar with OSRIC, read more here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSRIC). In short, it's an attempt to use the OLG D&D rules to as closely as possible replicate the old AD&D 1e. The resulting rules are nearly identical, and are available for free on the web.

The OSRIC ruleset for FG is pretty good - to me, much better implemented than the AD&D one. The skills/abilities page of the character sheet is fantastic. It's missing some of the monsters and maybe some of the spells, but those can be added as needed, and on the whole it appears to run AD&D almost perfectly. I had to do a little messing around with it to make sure that it was calculating weapons correctly, but after an evening of expirementation I got it to replicate AD&D 1e perfectly. If you're not continuing an existing game and don't mind just switching entirely to OSRIC, then it's even easier to use. It's also available for free up on teh FG WIKI (https://oberoten.dyndns.org/fgwiki/index.php/OSRIC).

Yes, it's my next work in my to-do-list after the HQ2 ruleset.

Yes, copyrights and all. You can PM me if you want a good first edition extension with weapon adjustments :)

I run an AD&D 1st edition game using the OSRIC ruleset, and I highly recommend it! It's pretty easy to use, and it is the closest thing I have seen to a fully functional AD&D ruleset.

The actual AD&D ruleset is buggy. I created the char sheet for that 4-5 years ago (recognizable by the blank tab) before a couple of other people tried to salvage it. I never really knew what I was doing with the combat tracker, and I don't know if it ever really recovered.

You should definitely download OSRIC and give it a try. I am looking forward to the next update! ;)
