I searched the forums and could not find an answer. There is just tooooo much and my searches got me nowhere. So I apologize if this is answered somewhere.

I want to create powers is 4E FGII. I can BUT I can't get the SWORD to come up next to the magnifier so I can enter weapons or healing or effects. Anybody know the answer? Thanks in advance.

Step 1: Right Click on the power sheet > Create Power
https://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg571/Xross2/d9bdf9fc.jpg

Power will show up under "Situational"

Step 2: Right Click on the Power > Add ability
https://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg571/Xross2/02b7ab75.jpg

You will see Add attack/damage ability, Add heal ability, and Add effect ability

Step 3: Fill in the Details
Click on the areas pointed below to reveal the "Details"

Notes:
Add the keyword Weapon for powers that use them. You will see the die next to "Dmg Details" change to [W]
Changing the "Recharge" to At-Will, Encounter, or Daily will move it to that section

More information in the 4e User Guide (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/userguide4E/player_charsheet_4E.xcp)

I hope that covered everything :D

Nice pictural tutorial, Xross. I just just wanted to add - you can sometimes save yourself some effort and get FG to enter effects and attacks for you if you type in the power description *exactly* as it is in the book and let FG parse the power for you.

Below is an example. The powers description, action, recharge, range, keyword(s) and name have already been entered and then you right click on the description body and select reset power abilities. Notice how there isn't a sword icon yet.

After selecting reset power abilities notice how the internal parser as filled in some attacks for you. IE the "Sword" has appeared and when I click it you can see two lines of attacks have been filled in for you and the attack effect have been filled in for you.

It's hardly worth doing for this simple attack but it will also fill out effects for you if a power has them and the ruleset understands them. It is *extremely* important you use the exact format of the power from the book, though, including case. Its also not perfect about 85-90% accurate, but if you can't remember the syntax for an effect it can be a great time saver.

Edit: Used a better example pic by changing the bonus on the power.
