Is there any reason why the in-game RuleBook doesn't include the Tables for CR->Exp and Exp->Char Levels?

It seems I will have to use these external links to keep track of things:

The XP tables were excluded from the original OGL / d20 SRD from Wizards of the Coast. The exclusion was the way to ensure that the Players Guide was used. Reproducing them would be against the OGL.
