View Full Version : 4e Modules?

So I was watcing khersheyjr's tutorials on YouTube about using 4e (I've only ever done SWSE d20 so this is all very new to me) and noticed that he had a module for the DnD 4e Player Handbook where he could drop in feats and powers and stuff from the module right into someones character sheets. Our players have already begun the arduous process of typing into their char sheet and am amazed at how easy the module would make things.

I have checked this forum, tried searching Google, the FG shop, wiki and even ended up on some other community members websites (Dr Zeuss').... and I cannot for the life of me find these damn modules. Are there any available to download or purchase (specifically the Core rulebooks) or has khersheyjr simply made them for himself? Dont know if I'm being really numb, but couldn't find any stickies or anything that might point me in the right direction.

Cheers.

WotC has a restricted license on 4E so the modules can't be sold or distributed legally. However, a 4E parser was developed that allows someone with a DDI account to scrape and make their own libraries.

Its worth getting a DDI account for a month if you don't have one just to scrape the modules since they are huge time savers. Unfortunately the 4E Parser is subject to the whims of WotC's DDI database so currently it can't scrape items.

You can see more details about the 4E parser here as well as where to download the original and then drop the beta on top of it to get the most up to date version here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14951

Since this question comes up a lot when it comes to 4E... would it make sense to sticky a guide to creating data for the 4E ruleset to the top of the 4E forum?

I agree that this needs to be stickied. I get asked this question all the time.

Sorry to be volunteering you, but maybe a video on how to get and use the parser?

After doing more research (successfully) pretty sure khersheyjr didn't make the ones that feature in his video, but as his tutorial shows how to load up a mod and how quickly the drag and drop is, I'm not surprised he gets asked a lot :P

Thankfully I managed to spare you a PM kher.
