Could someone possibly explain how the treasure parcels system on the party sheet works?

How is it used?

Treasure parcels are essentially groups of items and money that the party finds during their adventure. They are called parcels in 4E, and they don't really have a name in 3.5E though there is a Treasure table. You can create a treasure parcel, name it, drop items on it and enter coins.

On the inventory section of the party sheet, you can drop a parcel on the upper portion of the screen. It will populate the items and money into the parcel area of the party sheet inventory. This is essentially a place for players to be able to view what they have found so far. From there, the GM can distribute the coins evenly to the party members (assumed to be whichever characters are tracked in the party sheet), or the GM can assign items by name (with auto-complete) and distribute them onto the character sheets once assigned.

Also, the inventory section of the party sheet can also be updated to show the combined list of all inventory items and coins across the party, which can be useful for seeing all party items and coins at a glance.
