View Full Version : Main Tab Resistances broken in 2.9?

Hi,

We played last night with the new update and we found that the resistances on the main tab of the character sheet no longer seemed to function. Resistances still worked fine if applied as an effect to a character, but not otherwise.

Has anyone else experienced this?

As far as I am aware, the resistances on the Main tab of the character sheet never had an impact on the ruleset behavior. They were purely informational.

The effects subsystem only looks at the CT effects when applying resistance to incoming damage.

Hmmm, ok, strange. I will tell the player that he is crazy. :)

So if you have items with static abilities (or whatever), I guess the recommendation is to build that effect into the item and apply it to the character?

Or maybe I am crazy, but I'm pretty sure on this one.

Building effects for the characters on the CT is the way to do this. I did this for my campaign when our Fighter picked up "RESIST: 2 all" at high levels.

I can confirm that resistances on the character sheets in earlier versions of FG don't have any effect - you need to put them in the Combat Tracker.
