View Full Version : Setting Defenses in FG2

Hey all,

I'm trying to operationalize a 4e Bard Power called Mantle of Unity; essentially, it makes all the defenses of the party equal to the highest defense in the party.

Is there any clever way to do this in FG2?

I was thinking some sort of elaborate effect would be appropriate; I'd have to change the values every time, but it would make use much easier. Is there any way to build an effect that sets a defense to a level, rather then acting as a modifier to that defense?

Thanks,
Olodrin

There is no automatic way to handle this, since each effect (i.e. as applied to each character) is essentially variable.

Is there a way to set a def using an effect, like SET(AC):30?

I think you will have to add to the existing AC to make this work:
effect will look like this

Mantle of Unity; AC:X

x=value to needed to make all AC;'s the same as highest, different for each character i would assume

I was afraid that was going to be the case; that's enough of a nightmare that I might just choose another power

Almost all effects are bonus/penalty effects, so they only will add/subtract from the character's existing defense. You can add to the wish list in my sig if you like.
