If you are going to DM/GM, do you have to be the host of the game? Or can a player be the host, and the DM connect as a client?

Thanks.

You have to host the game at this point. Though I think it has been requested as
a change by various people.

thanks madman.

Well, hmm. Is there any way to change the port (from 1802) that the program uses to accept clients?

Annoying Time Warner cable will not allow customers to access the router/modem to configure port forwarding-- and as best as I can tell, port 1802 is closed.

Any other suggestions for work arounds also welcome :)

You can add (-p) to the fantasy grounds.exe (-p (new port) with no brackets.
and everyone that joins also has to change to the same thing. I don't have the link
to the thread that goes over it. but if you search for it you can find it.

You can also use a free VPN like Hamachi if you don't have control of the router.
