d20 modern modules/3.5 ruleset

I have the d20 modern ruleset, but frankly, it sucks compared to the current 3.5 ruleset, so I intend to run my next modern game using the 3.5 ruleset. What I'm hoping is someone can give me tips on modifying the d20 modern modules so they'll be available in the 3.5 ruleset, is such a thing even possible?

I believe that you need to change the tag in the definition from what it is, to 3.5E. And you might just need to copy the tag and add a second one
