Another noob question sorry. Can I stack tiles or tokens in the battle grid? For instance, if I had a ton of Dungeon floor tiles, could I place them on the battle grid to create a dungeon and then have the players move their character tokens over them?

The short answer to your question is yes, but you will have token stacking problems as all of the tokens are on the same "layer" and so PC/NPC tokens can end up being below terrain tokens and you'd need to move the terrain to get at them.

However, there is a solution to this if you are using the 4E or 3.5E rulesets (or foundation):

4E enhanced images (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14916)
3.5E enchanced images (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15647)

The 4E link above includes screenshots and an example video (post #62).

Things to keep in mind: Players only have access to the play (top) level. Mask functionality only works on the bottom layer. Apply the grid to the top layer.

One thing you should be conscious of with any map you need to transfer, you need to keep the map size small, hopefully under 300K. This means you should be careful on the file size of your individual tiles.
