Is there any update with this working on linux?
A lot of my friends use linux and it crashes every time they start the game.

Which version of Wine are you using and have you tried running it via WineBottler?

This is on my work laptop, running Debian testing:

I'm using Wine 1.3.32 from https://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/

After installing that, I installed and used PlayOnLinux to install FG and HeroLab: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/

But if I start it via the shortcut the graphics are a little weird. Running it via the CLI works better for me:

cd "/home/mmealman/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/FantasyGrounds/drive_c/Program Files/Fantasy Grounds II"
WINEPREFIX="/home/mmealman/.PlayOnLinux//wineprefix/FantasyGrounds" wine FantasyGrounds.exe

I haven't run any sessions using this install. At home when I was trying wine it was too slow. On my work laptop it seems to run more smoothly though.

In any event, on both systems FG starts up and runs fine. It doesn't crash out or anything. I'd say try to get a newer version of wine and then use PlayOnLinux to install. That adds in fonts and the gecko engine.
