Hotbar Skill Error

Ran into a weird error today.

First perception check of the day - my player 'Bhat' has a shortcut on the hotbar for this.

He also has an ability which allows him to roll twice.

However, when he rolled FG put the name of another player in the chat log. When he recreated the hotbar entry everything worked fine.

I think the problem is related to the way that hot keys work with 4E. Essentially, only the roll information (text, dice, number) is saved in the hot keys, and any extra information (character link) is not saved.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit over the last year, and I might try to take a stab at making the rolls dynamically linked to the character, so that the roll is always up to date and always gets the right character.

JPG, the BRP ruleset saves a dynamic link for hotbar skills, so there might be some code in there you could re-use.
