View Full Version : Anyone have information on Hughesnet HN9000/Belkin N Wireless router port forwarding?

Title says it. I've been trying to get 1802 forwarded for days. Got a lot of good advice and help here, but was unable to make it work.

I forwarded the port at the Belkin Router, but that did not work. I set a static IP too, but that didn't make the difference.

I'm wondering if anyone has solved a similar setup, with a satellite modem before a wireless router.

Thanks for any help/advice.

ps, if anyone is willing to help me in the FG chat, that'd be cool. :)

Any advice for getting this setup? I am running into the same problem.

Hey, mikepridgeon,

What finally worked for me was Hamachi. Here's a link to the thread that helped me get going with FG:

Following ddomination's guide, I downloaded and installed, and so did my players. It worked!

Note that the lag was kind of there, but not unplayably bad. However, I was able to use the Hamachi setup at a local hotspot, with great result! No lag! So, our regularly scheduled game times will now coincide with my wife (who is one of my players) and me (DM) heading to our local college library.

Good luck, and a huge thank you to all who helped me realize this success.
