View Full Version : Ways to Suppress Polyhedral Dice?

I like games such as Mouseguard and Lady Blackbird which exclusively use d6's. I would potentially create a ruleset which supported such games.

Question: Is it possible to suppress the display of the polyhedral dice, so that none but the D6 displayed?

I don't need the technical explanation how just yet, I just want to know if it's theoretically possible before I start digging into the technical documentation.

Last I read you couldn't suppress them just move them somewhere less conspicuous.

Ah! OK. That's what I suspected as I couldn't find anyone who had suppressed them from the screenshots of different rulesets I've seen.

Couldn't the Chat Manager be modified to look at the type of die that is being rolled? Based on what the die is, suppress the command that sends the result to the chat window. I'm sure it's a bit of work, but it should be possible.

For my part I was more concerned about the asthetics -- suppressing the dice which don't pertain to the game you're playing.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.
